Uncomprehensible & Unfathomable God PT1

That feeling when you want something so bad and someone tells you "trust God" bet it will sound like a foreign language (unrealistic), Especially when you have been praying for something with no solutions in view. Trusting God isn’t easy but nothing is better than it.

I'll tell you the story that inspired this write up. A friend of mine, I'll call her Joy for the sake of this article. Joy called me up about six months ago sounding really upset about a job she had been interviewing for that didn't work out. She wanted this job badly. She liked the pay and the job description. She worked really hard for the interviews and got to the very last stage of the interview. According to the HR Director, they had to make a difficult decision between she and another guy. She lost out for lack of technical experience. "The HR Manager likes me sha, she even sent me a message promising to contact me first should another opportunity open up" said Joy. I listened and told her that the job that is meant for her will come. I told her to trust God and accept the next best job and she did.
Fast forward to 3 weeks after starting another job she had to go in for a surgery. The office gladly granted her 3 weeks sick leave even though she had only been with them for 3 weeks. Her sick leave is over and she is almost fully recovered and a job alert for the same job and the same company that dropped her pops up on her phone. She emails the HR Director who eventually invites her to come over for another interview and Gbam!! she is offered the job. Does this make you think of anything? Let me break it down to you. First, Only a few companies will give you 3 weeks (eventually 1month) of sick leave when you haven't even been there a month. Her No, wasn't really a No, it was a "wait" from God. If she had gotten that job the first time, she perhaps wouldn't have gotten time off, to pay attention to her health. So God made this company deny her the job so she could take the second option; Make some money and get official time off. He broke her heart to bring her happiness.

So you see? the ways of God baffle me. His wisdom is beyond any human comprehension. When we ask God for stuff and don't get it doesn't mean he hates us or has turned his back on us. He is denying us of one thing and getting ready to give us something better. If you ask God for something and the thing is good for you, have faith and be rest assured that he will give it to you. If he says no, best believe it is not good for you or he is simply saying wait. He says in Jeremiah 29:11-12 'for I know the plans that I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.' 12’ then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. Give it time and it will make sense.'

Always remember that even though we do not understand the ways of the lord, we simply have to trust his will. He is a perfect and unfathomable God!

Drop it at his Feet

So I have been a lil sick for the last couple of days. I haven't been sick for a while and this feeling is terrible. The fact that these doctors keep telling me "it's just a flu and there is no medication for it" is even more annoying and frustrating. To think that I - who detests medicine with everything in me - am now begging for medicine shows something isn’t right lol. Plus, am I the only one who misses their mom when they are sick? Irrespective of how old you are? I literally cry when I am sick and far from my mom. Who else will tolerate and take care of my sickly self better than her? God help me.
While I sat down for my drive back home from the doctor's appointment, I wore my headphones as if to blank out the world and the so-called "flu" the first song that came on was Frank Edward's -Drop it at my feet. It was like he was talking to me. I could relate to the lyrics and it was so comforting. Why worry about the doctor’s perspective when I have a God who is called "Jehova Ralpha"? I decided to drop my worries, symptoms and everything at his feet and not worry.
Frank E. Said "Doesn't matter what the doctor said, drop it at my feet."  That sounds hard to do mostly because we are human and are bound to worry. I have never seen or heard about a single time that "worrying" helped though, so why not channel all that energy into calling on God and dropping it all at his feet? He promised, "When you call me I'll be there ". Call him!.
Dear lord, I'm so sorry for forgetting to drop it at your feet. Thank you so much for speaking to me through that song. Thank you also for divine health as there has never been anything I ask you for that you fail to do except of course it wasn't your will for me.

Dear friends, it doesn't matter what you are going through, doesn't matter what the Doctor said, doesn't matter what the world is saying to you, take it to the God who specializes in impossibilities. Drop it at his feet and go to sleep. He will come through for you.

Today happens to be one of those days I just feel really uplifted. I have been having a hard time being happy for a couple of days. So many frustrating thoughts, relationship, school, work etc it just seemed like my whole world was crashing on my shoulders. I believe we all have at a point in our life felt same way. It maybe after loosing a close friend or even family. It maybe after an ugly break up with a loved one. It maybe due to financial issues or just so many things, and you just get so frustrated wondering were help will come from. Sometimes it may even get as far as thinking of death.
I badly needed a breath of fresh air so I called my friend, and she told me she was at work, eager to see her I asked where and if I could stop by? she agreed and described her workplace. I got in my car and headed towards her. On getting there, I pressed the bell and there she was. "what are you doing working in someone's house" were my first words to her. She said 'come inside jor" dragged me in and I sat down. She explained to me how she met this wealthy nurse who talked her into coming over to help her take care of her disabled child. I immediately told her I wanted to see the child. This was a pretty little girl lying helpless on the floor. She smiled at me and my heart melted. I realized she could not speak, sit or talk. She had severe brain damage that left her that way, and she lost her biological parents at only 2 and got adopted by my friend's employers. I couldn't help but tear up. This little girl may never leave a normal life, but she still managed to smile at everyone. I felt totally inspired and you should too!

Here is what I have to say to you; I have felt the same, or even way worse. I sat on my bed thinking of all the wrong things going on in my life, and I kid you not, I almost had a heart attack. I reached out to my laptop and started playing the song "my life is in your hands" by Kirk Franklin. I felt totally uplifted. My faith became stronger and all my worries suddenly meant nothing.  I kept replaying this song and speaking positively to myself. I said to myself; 'people have worse problems and they still smile'. This is just a passing phase in my life and I am very sure my God will not let this problem kill me. I will get over it. I always have and always will. When I do, I quickly forget how it felt. I asked God for forgiveness for not having enough faith in him, for not trusting him to take care of me. I prayed and I felt really happy like I reconciled with God.
Do not let problems weigh you down, I know its hard, but whenever life knocks you down always remember, that you have Jesus and he will never leave you alone.  No matter what life serves you always be positive and hold on to God!!
